  1. Especially Helpful with Kids with Attentional Issues 5 Star Review

Posted by on 21st May 2015

I'm not sure what it is about Ticket to Read. Is it that I can put kids on at their personal instructional level, or the immediate feedback, or the scaffolded reading instruction, or the meaningful rewards? Whatever it is, my at-risk students do beautifully on this program. Whether it's Toy Shop or Clubhouse, my students race to class ready to "put another ZogWog to sleep" or earn a new prize for their Clubhouse. My district stopped using this program, but I continue. I haven't found anything better or more effective!

  7. Excelent program!! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 2nd Oct 2014

I'm a mother of two boys currently attending 2nd and 4th grade at private school. They don't assign homework, so I purchased the program. They like it so much that as soon as the get to the house the do ticket to read. In the car, they take turns with the IPad to complete a passage. I am very satisfy with the program and my boys love it.

  8. Awesome Resource 5 Star Review

Posted by on 30th Sep 2014

I am a teacher and mother and love this product. When our district didn't renew our memberships I paid for it myself for my 5 year old. He's been doing it for 2 years now and is reading at a 3rd grade level approx. 170 cwpm at the age of 5!!!!! If only our county would understand the benefit of this program.

  9. Student requested Reading Program 5 Star Review

Posted by on 24th Sep 2014

My son had this at school during kindergarten. It was his favorite of the various reading programs his school tried. For third grade he wanted to get this to supplement our homeschooling. He likes the game like play and the clubhouse. He does well navigating the reading and phonics. It is a good mix of non-fiction and fiction stories. He loves earning the tickets to buy things for his clubhouse. Good value for the price. He is above grade level in his reading and this seemed to adjust to level needed.

  10. Excellent Intervention Tool 5 Star Review

Posted by on 17th Sep 2014

I am a special education teacher working with elementary students who have little to no reading ability. I use Ticket2Read as a supplemental tool to compliment the reading lessons I perform for my students. The program alone is great as it builds essential skills in phonetics and sight words. When complimented with sound reading instruction it is a tour de force. An example I have is a student who struggles with sounds of letters. In one year this student has utilized his skills from the Ticket 2 Read program to jump 1 whole grade level in reading. Many people will think that one grade level is nothing to cheer about but it means the world to this child and I attribute the fun, energetic, skill building Ticket 2 Read program for this child's desire to put out the effort.
