Stop & Think Training

Grade Levels:
PreK-12

With role playing and group activities, this nationally recognized program addresses four developmental levels and helps students learn interpersonal, survival, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.  
The Stop and Think Social Skills Program has historical roots in the social skills approaches of Arnold Goldstein and Ellen McGinnis, Gwendolyn Cartledge, and others; ecological approaches of Urie Bronfenbrenner; cognitive behavioral approaches of Donald Meichenbaum; social learning theory approaches of Albert Bandura; and systems change approaches of Evelyn Valentine and William Cook.  
 
Training Options
The following training options are available to support your implementation. These are highly recommended to ensure fidelity of implementation.
 
Face-to-Face Training:
The initial face-to-face training session provides in-depth program training—including program research, materials, methods, and implementation. Using an interactive, practice-driven training process, the training session prepares participants to immediately begin implementing the program. Face-to Face trainings are a great opportunity to receive training district, or school-wide.
